Here is your source for selecting and growing showcase roses in your Florida rose garden. Whether you are an experienced rose grower or new to this fascinating hobby, in these pages you will discover tips and tested cultural information to help you grow great roses in Central Florida. While our focus is on local growing conditions, there are articles and links covering general rose growing techniques as well. As this web site evolves there will be new information added on a regular basis, so check back frequently.
The Central Florida Rose Society meets at 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month (except for July and August) at Harry P. Leu Botanical Gardens, 1920 N. Forest Ave, Orlando, FL. Come and enjoy good fellowship, lots of rose talk, and refreshments. Each monthly meeting features a knowledgeable rosarian speaking on all aspects of rose growing. If there is something specific that you want to learn, we have a number of consulting rosarians who can answer your questions. Visitors are always welcome. Come see what we are all about … and feel free to bring a friend.
As a Central Florida Rose Society member you will receive 10 issues of our award winning monthly bulletin The Wind Chimes. Each issue is filled with information on growing great roses in central Florida. Annual membership dues are $20 for an "Electronic Membership" for all family members at the same address (you will receive each password protected monthly newsletter via the internet). Special "By Mail Memberships" are available for $30, where members will receive the Wind Chimes by regular mail. In addition, garden tours to local members gardens, an annual rose outing to out of town gardens, and our yearly Rose Show are just part of the Societys activities.
