March Meeting, begins at 7pm -- held at Leu Gardens in the Camelia Room 3/2/2011

Our March 2nd meeting will feature guest speaker Mr. Richard Royal from Sunniland Corporation who will present “Disease and Pest Options for Roses”.  In addition to other rose concerns, he will discuss chilli thrips and spider mites ... Two critters that can greatly damage your bushes!  He will inform us how to get the best bang for your buck and help keep the environment safe.  Richard will also be bringing us information on their newest product ... a fertilizer tailored specifically for roses in central Florida, which was developed with the input of our very own consulting rosarians!!  A few lucky members will get to try it out first as Richard has offered to bring a few bags for our raffle table!! You might want to pick up a few extra tickets! The evening's activities include a rose raffle, refreshments, and more ... !!! VISITORS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!!!

CFRS 2011 Rose Show at Leu Gardens 4/16/2011

FREE ROSE SHOW!! The Central Florida Rose Society Proudly Presents its 24th ANNUAL ROSE SHOW, Saturday, April 16, 2011!! The doors will be open to exhibitors at 6 am, Judging begins at 10 am. Show will be open to the public from 1 to 5 pm. Come see all the beautiful blooms on display -- hundreds of varieties that grow well right here in Central Florida. Bring your camera, pen and note pad because you will want to write the names of your favorites. Fortuniana grafted rose bushes and cut roses will be available for purchase.

Consulting Rosarians will be there to answer all your rose growing questions. Free handouts on growing roses in central Florida.

The event is FREE!!! Plan to come and enjoy!!
